What is Migraine?
THE FACTS
Migraine is caused by the brain so it is called a 'neurological condition'.
1 child in every 10 children has migraine.
If you have migraine you might get:
- A headache (but not always)
- Tummy ache and sometimes vomiting
- Pins and needles down one side of the body
- Sometimes you'll see flashing lights or funny shapes in front of your eyes
- Everything sounds louder and lights seem brighter
- Some smells will make you want to be sick
Migraine can last for a few hours or even days.
Many children do not know they have migraine and think that they
have tummy aches or eye problems.
